Taste a Lil' Bit of Heaven

A delicious logo made for Danita Greene of "Taste a Lil' Bit of Heaven"; an affordable prepared meals catering service.

When formulating concepts for the "food" part of this, I couldn't bring myself to commit a single meal - starter, entrée, dessert or otherwise - to the canvas, so I inevitably went with a mouth. There are many symbols that invoke the thought of heaven, including clouds, wings, gates, and so on. For simplicity's sake, I decided on incorporate a gleaming halo, which also plays into the meaning of "soul food".

Despite being my first attempt at a "foodie" logo, it stands out as one of my favorite works of all times.

The hand-drawn natures of "Lalisa Kiss" and "Delight Candles" really gave function and form to this wildly asymmetric piece, and I couldn't be happier.
