Sumi-A

Description

This is a watery photomanipulation made in my own likeness.

As "Seiki" was the alias for the artist, then this self-portrait would be the photo shown just above a summary of the volume, so to speak. The title of this work is a reference to Japanese ink painting, called "sumi-e". The "e" is pronounced with a short sound, giving it a similar tone to the "a" in "day". In this case, the "a" is merely for "afro", which I thought to be a clever reference at the time.
